Briefly describe your professional career, including your employment history and notable accomplishments
I am currently an assistant professor at Bloomsburg University having just assumed this position in August 2016. Prior to that I taught in the RN to BSN program and coordinated the School Nurse Certification Program for five years at Slippery Rock University. I earned my Ph.D. at Penn State in 2012 from the College of Nursing where my research focused on the experience of being a family caregiver for a loved one with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).  I have presented my research locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

Please provide any advice to graduate students related to career exploration
Be willing to explore multiple options of opportunity. Be willing to have a Plan B until Plan A can be reached.  Network with professionals in your field because you never know when that can help you. Establish a Social Media presence that represents you as a professional…not a student.
